Slack as a RSS Feed Reader

How has it been almost four years since the death of Google Reader?  I landed on Newsblur as my Google Reader replacement, and now there’s a new kid in town, Slack.

Slack is “Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge”.

It took me a while to warm up to Slack; I just didn’t get it.  I still don’t get it all, but I’m slowly finding ways to use it.  It is more of an environment than an app.

I am now using Slack to read my RSS feeds and I love it.  I love organizing all my feeds by teams and channels, and the ability to control notifications is huge.  Newsblur didn’t offer notifications so this upgrade is wonderful.  Here’s more info from the Slack Help Center.
